This live performance is an extension of the dance film ‘Ode to my Bitchface’ by We: R Performance Collective created in 2017. The dance film is a reaction to the amazing fierceness of Olivia Gatwood’s poem and live performance of the same name. This extended version investigates different aspects of womanhood, how feminism is used today and how small everyday acts can become symbol of feminist activism. The work is focused, strong and plays with tension.
